Nonograms
Free online nonograms: hidden pixel-art pictures
Free nonograms in your browser, with nothing to download. The numbers on each row and column tell you how many squares in a row to fill; with pure logic you work out which squares are filled and which are empty, until a picture appears.
Each nonogram hides a creature from the Arcadópolis Bestiary, the encyclopedia of its mythology: Octavia, the goddess of the eight notes, the axolotl, the dragon, the owl and many more. When you solve it, it appears in full color in pixel art, with its name. There are three sizes: 8 × 8, 16 × 16 and 32 × 32.
It’s one of the 51 games in the Arcadópolis Games folder.

How to start a nonogram
Look for rows and columns with big numbers. In an 8-square row with a 6, the group of six must cover the four middle squares, wherever it starts: you can fill those right away. A 0 means the whole line is empty. When a row has all its groups, mark the rest with ✕, and those empty squares give you clues for the columns that cross them. That’s how you make progress, alternating rows and columns.
The creatures of the Bestiary
The Bestiary is the encyclopedia of the gods, creatures and legends of Arcadópolis, each with its own 32 × 32 pixel illustration. In the 32 × 32 nonogram the silhouette is the original drawing, pixel by pixel; in the 16 × 16 and 8 × 8 ones it’s the same silhouette in bigger blocks. When you solve it you can open its entry to read its myth.
Common questions
What is a nonogram?
It’s a logic puzzle on a grid. The numbers on each row and column give the groups of squares that are filled; when you solve it, the filled squares form a picture. They’re also called hanjie or Japanese crosswords.
Do I have to guess?
No. Every Arcadópolis nonogram is checked with a solver that works line by line, without trial and error, so you can always reach the solution with logic.
Which size is best on a phone?
The 8 × 8 or the 16 × 16. The 32 × 32 is more enjoyable on a big screen, because the squares get very small on a phone.
