Arcade 3D

Arcade 3D: a free virtual arcade hall online

Arcade 3D is a virtual arcade hall you explore on foot, free and with nothing to download: it runs in the browser on your computer, phone or tablet. You move with the keyboard, the mouse, your finger or a gamepad, walk up to a machine and press E, or tap it, to play.

There are 19 machines: 13 upright cabinets with their screens lit, the Musical Trains table, a jukebox, two vending machines, a photo booth and a trophy case. Almost all of them open an Arcadópolis game or app, and one opens the whole Games folder, so the hall takes you to every game.

Overhead, a glass roof shows outer space. The carpet, the walls and the neon sign at the back take on your theme’s colors, so the hall changes every time you change your style.

Free, no ads, nothing to install.

What it has

  • A 3D hall with 19 machines, a glass roof and a view of space.
  • Screens in demo mode with a tube look: curved glass and scanlines.
  • Theme vending machine: it puts on a random theme from the ones you have.
  • Sticker machine: trade 10 free tokens for a pack of 5 stickers.
  • A Machines button with a list, to open any of them without walking.
  • First- or third-person view (V key) and jumping with Space.

How to use it

  1. Open Arcade 3D from its desktop icon or the start menu, or walk in through its door in Arcadópolis Plaza.
  2. Walk with W A S D or the arrow keys and drag to look around. On a phone, drag at the lower left to walk.
  3. Get close to a machine and press E, or click it: you walk over and it opens.
  4. When you close the game, you’re still in the hall. To leave, walk to the entrance door and choose Out to the Plaza.

What machines are in Arcade 3D?

As you walk in, on your left are Eight Notes, Happy Sisyphus, Dominoes, Trivia, Snake, the Hall of fame and the Games folder cabinet. On your right are Music Staff, Chord of the Day, Hum, Fridge Magnets, Décima, Bestiary and the sticker machine. In the middle stands the Musical Trains table, with the game running on its top; at the back, the Infinite Jam jukebox and the theme vending machine; and on the sides, the photo booth, which opens Avatars, and the trophy case.

Where can I see my high scores and trophies?

The Hall of fame shows your best Snake and Trivia scores on its screen, along with your total XP, your nickname and your avatar; use it to open your records. The trophy case fills with trophies as you earn achievements, with the total on display, and opens your achievements list. The hall has achievements of its own too: walking in for the first time, opening five different machines and getting a theme from the vending machine.

Common questions

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. On phones and tablets it opens full screen: drag at the lower left to walk, drag anywhere else to look around and tap a machine to walk to it. If your browser can’t show 3D, you’ll see every machine in a list.

Can I play with a gamepad?

Yes, with a wired or wireless gamepad: the left stick walks, the right stick looks around, the bottom button uses a machine and the right button jumps.

Do I have to download or install anything?

No. Arcade 3D runs in your browser and it’s free, with no ads. If you like, you can install Arcadópolis as an app from your browser.
